Not being 'doted' with the best of dental facilities for various reasons, I have taken to cooking and eating - often - those dishes which others are not too keen on.
Like everybody, I like to bite into and chew a piece of meat or vegetable or fruit, but like more and more people, I'm not able to, except stews (which I love anyway). My problems at least date from the 60's so I've got used to it!
In fact, for a number of years now, I make a point of 'concocting' a couple of dishes from seasonally available, fresh on the market products, as above.... but attractively presented!
Above you have (from left to right):
Autumn carrots, steamed and mashed in butter.....potatoes the same......spinach in cream, and finally Gourd (pumpkin) steamed and mashed, also in butter.......
Beleive me, it's quite delicious, attractive, filling, not expensive, and unfortunately - healthy!
Give it a go...! Won't stop you eating this later........
